Die Protection - Acoustic Sensing using State of the art Brankamp systems.  These systems use a number of acoustic sensors strategically placed in your die and or on your press.  The rest is pure magic, it is a little like checking the "pulse of your stamping tool", even in high speed applications, or in progressive, transfer or  heavy stamping applications. 

It just recently has been developed into a useful tool. In fact under controlled conditions it is possible to detect a piece of paper which has been intentionally thrown into a stamping die!

The system generates a signature for every press cycle and compares it continuously.You may now be concerned about the acoustic emissions which are emitted from your other plant processes which may interfere with this technology. We are about to evaluate how much interference there can be. Previous tests have shown that the system can be tuned to observe certain frequencies, and through electronic filtering will know what noises to ignore, and which to add to the signature.

Setting up the system is simple. The electronics create a visible envelope around the signature graph. It is this envelope that can be adjusted either automatically or per user interaction.
